Limb Preservation
At Palm Beach Heart & Vascular, we offer the most advanced treatments and specialize in caring for difficult to heal wounds. The goal of our limb-preservation program is to decrease amputation rates and optimize the chances to maintain functional limbs in all of our patients. Our team-based approach provides coordinated patient care and unique therapies whether you have a life-threatening disease such as diabetes, ischemia, deep vein thrombosis, peripheral artery disease and other vascular conditions. We work to develop individualized plans to maximize wound healing potential and maintain walking function as long as possible.
Chronic Venous Disease
Patients who experience chronic venous disease are managed using conservative therapy to include blood thinners and compression therapy, as appropriate. We collaborate with wound management specialists to address ulcers, if present, to ensure patients have the best opportunity to heal. When conservative methods alone are not effective, minimally invasive catheter-based procedures can improve symptoms in select patients. One catheter-based procedure can open up chronically occluded veins through a combination of balloon angioplasty and stents. Another procedure eliminates refluxing superficial veins.

If I could give 100 stars i would! I am a new patient with Dr Paul Michael and he made me feel like I knew him for years. He went out of his way to patiently answer all my questions and concerns. Dr Michael is a very knowledgeable, sensitive. informative man.
